What you will see: Children from ages 5 to 12 working in the same room. Plenty of space to move about. Windows looking into the trees, since we are a second story classroom. Teachers sitting on the floor next to children. Small rugs with manipulatives on them, students recording the result of their work in notebooks. Students researching with computers, books, and encyclopedias. Animals such as guinea pig, fish, turtles, birds, since we try to have one from each class of vertebrates. Students completing responsibilities for maintaining the classroom.
